()The RN-T7-TAG is a small, battery-powered wireless device that uses a standard 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi network to track assets using customer-developed or third-party location engines.Based on the ultra-low power RN171 Wi-Fi module (built with silicon specifically designed for asset tracking type applications), the tag consumes very little power - waking up from 4µA deep sleep, drawing only 35 mA (on average) while awake and connected over Wi-Fi, sending data and going back to sleep in only 100ms – giving it multi-year battery life.Custom WebScan firmware running on the module adds RTLS capability and is designed specifically to address the key requirements in asset tracking implementations, cost and simplicity. The tag’s low-power hardware and specialized WebScan firmware coupled with a range of sensors such as motion sensor, on-board temperature sensor, pushbuttons, and a Reed switch make the RN-T7-TAG ideal for building RTLS systems or as a reference design.Based on the ultra-low power RN171 module (4 µA sleep)
Can wake and send RSSI UDP packets in 100 ms
Configurable transmit power 0 to +12 dBm
Full 802.11b/g Wi-Fi transmit and receive functions
Built-in three-axis motion sensor and contact closure Reed relay switch
Built in thermistor for temperature sensing
